Resumo: O presente trabalho apresenta o mapeamento e análise da literatura internacional (língua inglesa) e nacional (língua portuguesa) a respeito da Educação Domiciliar ou Home Education, que se refere à educação não escolarizada oferecida no âmbito familiar. Os bancos de dados utilizados como fonte para a pesquisa foram o Scielo e o banco de teses da CAPES, para a literatura em língua portuguesa, e o Web of Science e International Center for Home Education Research, para a língua inglesa. O recorte histórico utilizado levou em conta os anos de 2000 a 2016. Inicialmente foi apresentado histórico da prática no mundo, com ênfase nos Estados Unidos e no Brasil e, posteriormente, os resultados da pesquisa bibliográfica e suas análises, apresentando correlações e questionamentos a respeito do avanço da pesquisa sobre o tema no contexto internacional. Na análise da bibliografia nacional os resultados revelaram um aumento da pesquisa acadêmica sobre Educação Domiciliar no período analisado, acompanhando o crescimento da prática no país. Na bibliografia internacional observou-se uma mudança das temáticas entre os períodos de 2000-2009 e 2010-2016 e também uma predominância dos EUA como país de origem dos autores e dos veículos de publicação que mais abordam a Home Education como tema de pesquisa. A comparação entre as bibliografias evidenciou que no âmbito nacional a pesquisa sobre Educação Domiciliar está mais relacionada ao âmbito legal, dado que a prática ainda não foi regulamentada, enquanto internacionalmente as temáticas de pesquisa variam. Abstract: The present work presents the mapping and analysis of the international literature (English language) and national literature (Portuguese language) regarding Home Education, which refers to non - school education offered in the family. The databases used as a source for the research were Scielo and the CAPES thesis bank for the Portuguese language literature, and the Web of Science and the International Center for Home Education Research, in the English language. The historical clipping used took into account the years 2000 to 2016. Initially, a history of the practice in the world was presented, with emphasis in the United States and Brazil, and later the results of the bibliographic research and its analyzes, presenting correlations and questions about it of research on the subject in the international context. In the analysis of the national bibliography the results revealed an increase in academic research on Home Education in the analyzed period, accompanying the growth of practice in the country. In the international bibliography, there was a change in the themes between the periods 2000-2009 and 2010-2016, as well as a predominance of the USA as the country of origin of the authors and the publication vehicles that most address Home Education as a research topic.
