Resumo: Compreendemos o clima escolar como o conjunto de percepções e expectativas compartilhadas pelos integrantes da comunidade escolar, decorrente das experiências vividas nesse contexto com relação aos seguintes fatores inter-relacionados: normas, objetivos, valores, relações humanas, organização e estruturas física, pedagógica e administrativa, que estão presentes na instituição educativa. É formado por várias dimensões, sendo uma delas a das intimidações vividas pelos alunos. O bullying, uma forma de intimidação: ocorre entre pares; há uma agressão "do mais forte" para "o mais fraco" (assimetria de poder físico e/ou psicológico); há a intenção em ferir; as agressões são repetidas e constantes contra um ou mais alvos; há uma espécie de concordância do alvo sobre aquilo que pensam dele; há um público, os espectadores, que prestigia as agressões. Inúmeras pesquisas mostram os danos que as situações de bullying podem acarretar nos alvos, nos autores, e nos espectadores, sendo problema que precisa ser trabalhado nas escolas. Assumindo que a qualidade do clima influencia fortemente os aspectos da vida escolar e as relações, a relacionamos com as situações de intimidação entre pares. Assim, nossos objetivos foram: 1. Comparar a incidência de estudantes envolvidos em situações de intimidação com a percepção do clima escolar pelos alunos; 2. Identificar, analisar e comparar como os alvos, os autores e os alvos/autores de intimidação percebem o clima escolar em relação aos demais alunos. Caracterizamos nosso estudo como quantitativo com utilização de survey elaborado especificamente para avaliar o clima escolar em escolas brasileiras. Os dados foram coletados por meio de questionários aplicados de forma interseccional em 566 alunos de 7os aos 9os ano de quatro escolas municipais. A análise foi feita qualitativamente após análise estatística das variáveis nominais. Foi encontrada relação entre um clima mais negativo e o envolvimento em situações de intimidação: na escola que possuía um clima mais intermediário e negativo, havia maior frequência de alunos envolvidos em situações de agressão, e nas que possuíam climas mais positivos encontramos menor envolvimento. Os não envolvidos e os autores de intimidação percebiam o clima de sua escola como mais positivo e os alvos e autores/alvos como mais intermediário. Outros dados encontrados foram: os estudantes envolvidos em intimidação se sentiam mais sós do que os não envolvidos; menos satisfeitos com a relação estabelecida com os adultos; podiam contar menos com os adultos para resolver os conflitos; acreditavam que a maioria dos professores implicava e gritava. Grande parte dos alunos afirmou que não podiam expressar suas opiniões; que poucas vezes podiam participar da elaboração das regras; que a infraestrutura da escola era precária. Os alvos e autores/alvos eram mais punidos do que os demais. A Dimensão 7 - As situações de intimidação entre alunos ¿ foi percebida como mais positiva pelos não envolvidos, alvos e autores, e intermediária pelos alvos/autores, contrariamente à nossa hipótese inicial, demonstrando uma naturalização da violência. Quando presenciaram uma situação de agressão, os alvos e alvos/autores afirmaram participar com frequência do grupo que agredia; os não envolvidos foram os que menos tentariam parar com a situação Ver menos

Abstract: School climate is the set of perceptions and expectations shared by the members of the school community. It results from the experiences lived in this context in relation to the following interrelated factors: the norms, the goals, the values, the human relationships, and the physical, pedagogical and administrative organization and structures, which are present in the educational institution. It is formed by several dimensions and one of them is the one that involves aggression situations experienced by students. The characteristics of bullying are: it occurs between peers; there is an aggression from "the strongest" to "the weakest" (asymmetry of physical and/or psychological power); there is an intention to injure; the aggressions are repeated and constant against one or more victims; there is an agreement of the victim of what people think of him/her; and there is an audience, the bystanders, who witness the aggression. Research shows the damage that bullying can have on victims, bullies and bystanders, and this is a problem that needs to be addressed in schools. Assuming that the quality of the climate strongly influences aspects of the school life and the relationships, we intend to relate school climate and bullying. Thus, our goals are: 1. To compare the incidence of students involved in bullying with the students' perception of the school climate; 2. To identify, to analyze and to compare how the victims, the bullies and the bully/victims perceive the school climate in relation to the non-involved students. We characterize our study as being quantitative with the use of survey. Data was collected through questionnaires that were applied in an intersectional way of 566 students across four schools from years 7 to 9. The qualitative analysis was done after statistical analysis of the variables. We found a relationship between a more negative climate and the involvement of bullying: there was a greater frequency of students involved in bullying in the school that had a more intermediate and negative climate, and there was less involvement in bullying in those schools that had more positive climates. The non-involved students and the bullies perceived the school climate as more positive and the victims and bully/victims perceived the climate as more intermediary. Furthermore, the students involved in bullying felt lonely when compared to the non involved; felt less satisfied with their relationship with the adults; they could count less with the adults to solve conflicts; they believed that the majority of the teachers teased and screamed at them. Most of the students asserted that they could not express their opinions; that they could not participate in the development of the school rules; that the infrastructure of the school was precarious. The victims and the bully/victims were more punished than the other students. The Dimension 7 ¿ Bullying between students ¿ was perceived as more positive by the non-involved students, the victims and the bullies, and intermediary by the bully/victims. This finding is contrary to our initial hypothesis and it suggests that the violence is seen as something natural.
