Abstract: The earth science studies the phenomena and characteristics of the physical environment which we live in, and the systems that compose it, as the atmosphere, the hydrosphere, the biosphere and geosphere, and the interaction between them. In these sciences, although their content is predominantly taught in basic education in Geography, also fit some other curricular components of Brazilian education, such as Physics, Chemistry and Biology. In Brazil, the bridge between high school to higher education is the entrance exam. The entrance exam is a test, usually not mandatory, that allows candidates to be classified for the available positions in higher education. The professionals who are responsible to elaborate the questions use many features like the use of images and supporting texts, contextualization of the questions and create questions that bring issues and events which have occurred recently. In this paper, we analyzed the Geosciences questions of the entrance exams of UNICAMP (Campinas State University) between 1987-2015. 206 questions were analyzed and classified according to some preestablished criteria, such as the presence and type of image, presence and type of supporting text, if the questions were contextualized, if they brought in the enunciation a newly occurred theme or event and which systems (atmosphere, biosphere, geosphere, hydrosphere) approaches the questions. In conclusion, we can mention: because of the format of the exams, there is still a predominance of multiple-choice questions in the entrance examination; the most discussed topics in the questions are "Geological, Geomorphological and Pedological Dynamics" and "Atmospheric Dynamics and Climatic Zoning"; the types of images most frequently used in questions are the maps, the illustrations and the graphics; the source of support texts most used were the newspapers / magazines and educational / technical books; there was not an increasing trend in the use of images or text during the study period; the theme that most deals with systems is "Morphoclimatic Domains"
