Resumo: O intercâmbio intelectual e cultural entre portugueses e brasileiros pode ser percebido em diversas expressões sociais e cotidianas dos dois lados do atlântico. Questões relacionadas à política, economia e religião, foram algumas das principais temáticas analisadas por investigadores dos vários ramos das ciências humanas, embora ainda apresentem carência nas análises voltadas para o período republicano. Em nossa tese de doutoramento analisamos as histórias cruzadas entre os intelectuais no mundo luso-brasileiro, com a observação das conexões entre os projetos de recatolização do Estado e das instituições nos dois países, entre os anos de 1910 e 1942. Com a pesquisa, foi possível perceber as redes de colaborações entre os personagens investigados e como as suas ações contribuíram para a expansão de um movimento internacional da Cúria romana. O principal objetivo do trabalho foi compreender como as atividades dos intelectuais católicos e a legislação brasileira foram utilizadas como modelo para as ações que tinham como finalidade a recristianização em Portugal. As interseções entre os dois movimentos se configuraram em especificidades de um padrão internacional, mas resguardaram objetivos comuns, a exemplo do projeto de reposicionamento da Igreja Católica como uma instituição atuante nas questões políticas e sociais de cada país. A partir de uma análise comparativa, concluímos que o intercâmbio entre os católicos brasileiros e lusitanos foi fundamental para as conquistas da Igreja. Abstract: The intellectual and cultural exchange between Portuguese and Brazilians can be seen in various social and everyday expressions on both sides of the Atlantic. Issues related to politics, economy and religion, were some of the main themes analyzed by researchers from the various branches of the humanities, although still present shortfall in Analyses of the republican period. In our doctoral thesis we analyzed the cross-stories among intellectuals in the Luso-Brazilian world, observing the connections between the re-catolization projects of the state and institutions in both countries, between the years 1910 and 1942. With the research, was possible to see the collaborations of networks between the investigated characters and how their actions contributed to the expansion of an international movement of the Roman Curia. The main objective of this study was to understand how the activities of Catholic intellectuals and Brazilian law was used as a model for the actions that were aimed at the re-christianization in Portugal. The intersections between the two movements took shape in specifics of an international standard, but saved common goals, such as the repositioning project of the Catholic Church as an institution active in political and social issues in each country. From a comparative analysis, we conclude that the exchange between Brazilian Catholics and Lusitanian was instrumental in the achievements of the Church.
