Abstract: This study analyzes the ex-convict discourse and attempts to understand it within the framework of the Materialist Discourse Analysis, founded by Michel Pêcheux. The discipline allows us to reflect on the meaning of the "self" and its forms of subjectivation, to think about language in its materiality, to contrast formulations with the conditions of production of the utterance, to build analytical tools within it and to overlap fields of knowledge (Marxism, Psychoanalysis and Linguistics).Theoretical and analytical devices that, by merging with our object of analysis, support the following question: which identities traverse the subject who has been imprisoned, "paid" his debt and is now back in society? Also, "who IS he, by what he claims to BE?". This work is focused on the dominance of the saying practices over the practice of the one who says (and is said by him) to be a failure of the citizen image. In speaking of himself, the subject conceives himself and formulates the name (symbol of himself). It is in the space of formulation that we observe the immanence of a "self" that was once taken administratively/legally by the State for imputation of judgment. The ex-convict speaks of the time/space of prison (punishment/subjection) at the same time as revealing his exteriority as an ex. A position of return to normalized spaces that points to his surroundings. The analysis is based on the intersection between language, ideology and forms of identity control. There is a complex legal/political/discursive relationship in which it is revealed who governs the norms of naming and the logics of the institution of meanings and their values. The analysis goes through a "self" that is forced to speak of itself in the condemnatory materiality given to itself. A semantic weight, a disgraced sense, which operates by opening up morphosyntactic spaces in the subject's own qualification/nomination and which causes internal forms of subjectivation/nomination to shift. This process we call disgrace. In the unfolding of this process, a contradictory form of opening up spaces for subjectivation was found. The negative form of the NO interdicts the subject while opening up spaces for their subjection to the divine. These relationships are intertwined with the image of God and work. We have indicated that the last determination is Economic, which takes communicative devices and imposes its logic of time, labor, space, life and rights. We have also tried to describe the residues of its action, residual spectral forms that tell of the devices/mechanisms of domination that extend to the symbolic, to dominate the imaginary and order reality
