Abstract: The studies that I share here have as their main interest to materialize through writing, experiences of us black women within Brazilian television journalism. And for the construction of this narrative, I invite the journalists Joyce Ribeiro and Luciana Barreto, to share their experiences, and run them along with my dissertation. In addition, we seek in black feminist theories a better understanding that encompasses the subjectivities of us black women, and communication studies. The methodological course starts from a situated research, where I choose to write about the journalists, intertwining my first-person experiences. In this sense, the work intends to address issues of racism, and the representation of black women who occupy spaces of power in the press. I try to understand the gaps in the current journalistic structure and the difficulty of access for other black journalists in the Brazilian television news. I bring the authors HOOKS (2019a and 2019b), CARNEIRO (2009), GONZALEZ (1983) to deal with us black women and representation, KILOMBA (2019) to analyze gender, racism and silencing, MAIGRET (2010) for Media studies, REZENDE (2000) among others to deal with telejournalism. As partial results, the research points out that there are many racial and sexist barriers that we encounter in the course of our trajectories. It is also possible to note that colonialism, even after the emancipation process, reinvented itself, causing coloniality and the perpetuation of violent structures of domination against black women. Every day, a black journalist is hit by one of these types of violence inside or outside the newsroom. Despite constant denunciations and claims, we continue to be crossed by the dynamics of racial domination. Given these perspectives, I show through the case studies how there is a lot of work to be done so that we have a more inclusive and diverse scenario within Brazilian television news
