Resumo: A presente pesquisa objetiva analisar a violência letal do Estado motivada por aspectos raciais, assim como as consequências do racismo estrutural, nas cidades de São Paulo e Rio de Janeiro, durante a Ditadura Civil-Militar e no período Pós-Redemocratização (1968-2020). À luz das contribuições de Achille Mbembe (2016) e Michel Foucault (1988; 2005) sobre a necro e a biopolítica, pretende-se estabelecer um paralelo entre a ideia de branqueamento da sociedade brasileira no século XIX e o genocídio negro, com base em dados estatísticos sobre a violência letal, encarceramento em massa e precariedade social. Além disso, este estudo busca oferecer alternativas para que temas polêmicos, como a violência racial exercida pela polícia brasileira, possam ser abordados em sala de aula, a fim de promover uma educação voltada para o reconhecimento do racismo na sociedade, respeito e luta pelo pleno exercício dos direitos humanos a todos os povos. Como esta dissertação faz parte do mestrado profissional (Profhistória), ao final de cada capítulo são apresentadas duas sequências didáticas com os temas abordados ao longo da dissertação: escravidão, embranquecimento da população através da miscigenação, genocídio negro e violência racial na ditadura civil-militar e na democracia, com sugestões de atividades voltadas aos estudantes do 9º ano. As atividades propostas podem ser aplicadas separadamente ou em uma única aula, utilizando para isso o método de rotação por estações de aprendizagem. Abstract: The present research intends to analyze the lethal violence of the State motivated by racial aspects, as well as the consequences of the structural racism, in the cities of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, during the Civil-Military Dictatorship and in the period of post-Re-democratization (1968 – 2020). In the light of the contributions of Achile Mbembe (2016) and Michel Focault (1988; 2005) about the necro and the bio political, it is intended to establish a parallel between the idea of whitening of the Brazilian society in the XIX century and the black genocide, based on statistical data about the lethal violence, mass incarceration and social precariousness. Besides, this study seeks to provide alternatives for controversial themes as the racial violence exerted by the Brazilian police, may be studied in classrooms, in order to promote an education directed at recognizing of the racism in the society, respect and struggle by the complete exercise of the human rights for all the people. As this dissertation is part of the Professional Master’s degree (Profhistória), in the end of each chapter are presented two didactic sequences with the raised themes along of the dissertation: slavery, whitening of the population through the miscegenation, black genocide and racial violence in the military- civil dictatorship and in the democracy, with suggestions of activities directed to the students of 9th grade. The proposed activities may be applied separately or in a unique class, using for this, the method of the rotation for learning stations.
