Resumo: Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo analisar o movimento de luta dos negros por educação representado nas publicações da chamada "Imprensa Negra" paulista na década de 1930, dando destaque às publicações do "A Voz da Raça". Nesse sentido, traçou-se a relação entre a luta por uma integração social efetiva dos negros e a reivindicação, desse mesmo grupo, por acesso à educação escolar; buscando compreender a relação da imprensa com o movimento negro, com as lutas populares pela educação e com as configurações tomadas pela educação na década de 1930. Neste percurso, tivemos como referência o importante trabalho de Miriam Nicolau Ferrara (1985), que tem a Imprensa Negra paulista como objeto de pesquisa e cuja investigação nos proporciona, como resultado, uma base de dados da imprensa em questão ¿ hoje, organizada e disponibilizada na plataforma digital da Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Bem como, buscamos, para este trabalho, seguir os princípios teóricos-metodológicos propostos por Saviani, em sua obra "História das Ideias Pedagógicas", de manter: o olhar analítico¿sintético no trato com as fontes; uma articulação do singular e do universal; uma atualidade da pesquisa histórica e a relação educação e trabalho. Com isso, retomando através das análises da fonte recuperar a presença do negro como sujeito de sua história; podendo, também, problematizar e compreender algumas das determinações políticas, econômicas e sociais do passado que permitem compreender a exclusão/inclusão da população negra na educação pública brasileira até os dias atuais Ver menos

Abstract: This research aimed to analyze the movement of struggle of blacks for education represented in the publications of the so-called "Black Press" of São Paulo in the 1930s, highlighting the publications of "A Voz da Raça". In this sense, the relationship between the struggle for effective social integration of blacks and the claim, by that same group, for access to school education was traced; seeking to understand the relationship of the press with the black movement, with the popular struggles for education and with the configurations taken by education in the 1930s. In this path, we had as reference the important work of Miriam Nicolau Ferrara (1985), who has the Press Black women from São Paulo as an object of research and whose investigation provides us, as a result, with a database of the press in question - today, organized and made available on the digital platform of the University of São Paulo (USP). As well, we seek, for this work, to follow the theoretical-methodological principles proposed by Saviani, in his work "History of Pedagogical Ideas", to maintain: the analytical-synthetic look in dealing with the sources; an articulation of the singular and the universal; an up-to-date historical research and the relationship between education and work. With that, resuming through the analysis of the source recover the presence of the black as the subject of his history; it can also problematize and understand some of the political, economic and social determinations of the past that allow understanding the exclusion / inclusion of the black population in Brazilian public education to the present day Ver menos
