Resumo: Este trabalho é dedicado ao estudo do grupo fundamental étale em geometria algébrica e sua relação com a teoria de espaços de recobrimentos em topologia. Em particular, abordaremos o Teorema de Bely?, que caracteriza os recobrimentos finitos da reta projetiva complexa menos três pontos como curvas algébricas definidas sobre o corpo dos números algébricos. Por fim, exploraremos o fato de o grupo fundamental étale carregar informações topológicas e aritméticas para estudar uma abordagem geométrica para o problema inverso de Galois, seguindo a estratégia original de Bely Ver menos

Abstract: This work is dedicated to the study of the étale fundamental group in algebraic geometry and its relationship with the theory of covering spaces in topology. In particular, we will address Bely?'s Theorem, which characterizes the finite coverings of the complex projective line minus three points as algebraic curves defined over the field of algebraic numbers. Finally, we will explore the fact that the étale fundamental group carries topological and arithmetic information to study a geometric approach to the inverse Galois problem, following Bely?'s original strategy Ver menos
