Resumo: O processo de ensino-aprendizagem se dá na interação social. As condições socioculturais em que essas interações ocorrem interferem, portanto, no processo. Com o mundo contemporâneo, a internet e as redes sociais desterritorializam a educação e forçam o professor a assumir o papel de mediador, não apenas na sala de aula, mas em ambientes virtuais de aprendizagem. Os chatbots fazem parte dessas novas tecnologias, eles são capazes de fornecer respostas para diversas perguntas de acordo com o conhecimento e a linguagem do professor. Em nossa pesquisa, implementamos um agente conversacional em um AVA de biologia e avaliamos seu uso. A partir dos metadados coletados, verificamos um baixo engajamento inicial por parte dos alunos, porém uma taxa de utilidade crescente dentro da rotina de estudos. Através de um Grupo Focal, investigamos a qualidade das interações e possibilidades de melhoria na implementação. Os participantes do GF aprovaram a ideia de um agente capaz de responder dúvidas simples de maneira atemporal, porém relataram dificuldades na interação inicial com o chatbot, pois existia uma expectativa de que o agente pudesse sanar dúvidas complexas. Além disso, produzimos um guia para que outros professores vejam o passo a passo da criação de nosso agente conversacional. Os professores que avaliaram o guia concordaram com a relevância do tema e apontaram trabalhar na retirada de dúvidas dos alunos via rede social, fora do horário escolar. Concluímos que os chatbots, assim como outras TIC baseadas em IA, possuem um bom potencial de uso na educação, porém demandam engajamento crescente por parte dos alunos, para que se torne relevante na rotina de estudos Ver menos

Abstract: The teaching-learning process happens in the social interaction. Therefore, the sociocultural conditions in which that interactions happens interfere in the process. With the contemporary world, the internet and the social networks deterritorialize the education and force the teacher to assume a role of mediator, not just in the classroom, but in virtual learning environments. The chatbots are part of these new technologies, they are able to provide answers to a variety of questions in accordance with teacher's knowledge and language traits. In our research, we implemented a conversational agent in one VLE of biology and we evaluate its use. Starting of collected metadata, we verified a low initial engagement on the parto f the students, but na increasing rate of usefullness within the routine of studies. Through a Focus Group, we investigated the interactions quality and implementation enhancement possibilities. FG participants approved the ideia of an answering agent capable of solving simple questions in a timeless way, although reported difficulties in interacting with the chatbot, as there was an expectation that the agente could solve complex questions. In addition, we have produced a guide for other teachers to see the step-by-step creation and implementation of our conversational agent. The teachers that evaluated the guide agreed with the relevance of the topic and indicated that they work on clearing doubts from students via social network, outside school hours. We conclude that chatbots, as well as other AI-based ICT, have a good potential for use in education, but they demand increasing engagement on the part of students, so that they become relevant in the study routine Ver menos
