Abstract: This work is inserted in a specific context, not only because Brazil is under the Bolsonaro government, but also because it is going through a humanitarian crisis with the Covid-19 pandemic. Within this context, scientific knowledge suffered credibility attacks both directly by members of the government and by part of the population, stimulated or not by such members. Considering these attacks on the credibility of science, together with the popularization of digital social networks that allow a massive sharing of information without compromises with the reality of the facts, we carried out an ethnographic research on the internet to analyze the characteristics of scientific disinformation discourses and how, from our analysis, we can relate difficulties in understanding how the process of construction of scientific knowledge by using references from theories of teaching and learning in science. We describe the concept of post-truth and how it is inserted in our research, understanding as a consequence of decades of attack on the credibility of science with the increase of scientific denialism stimulated by parts of the industry, in addition to the role of the media in fostering a polarization in which sides of the political spectrum are associated with one or another defense of scientific knowledge. Through an eight-month ethnographic follow-up on the social network Twitter in a community of supporters of the Bolsonaro government, we found characteristics that are related to the idea of the existence of a non-ideological science that searches for absolute truths; an individualized search for scientific truths; misconceptions of how scientific knowledge is validated and misconceptions about general scientific knowledge, mainly related to the Covid-19 pandemic. Through our references, we understand that these characteristics can be understood as an active rejection of scientific knowledge validated by institutions and searches for their own truths that do not carry out the process of generalization of concepts, of understanding the concept in different contexts. We see that there is an appreciation of the individual himself, who understands himself as capable of being the scientist of the situation and uses decontextualized scientific knowledge to explain particular situations, which we call the hyper-particularization of scientific concepts. Hyper-particularization hinders scientific literacy in the same way that e-phemerality hinders media literacy. We understand e-phemerity as an appreciation of knowledge seen on social networks when they are seen, allowing one to choose to ignore information from the past present in digital media. By considering only momentary information without the search for generalizing and contextualizing knowledge, e-phemerity influences and feeds a hyper-particularized thought. Understanding these processes becomes essential for thinking about specific strategies to combat disinformation in the current context. We understand that the subject is complex and there is not a binary answer to the problem, but we defend the importance of focusing on an education that teaches the processes of knowing to research on different subjects on the internet, as this involves different skills that are related to the understanding of the construction of scientific knowledge
