|Title:||Rovibrationally Resolved Electronic Excitation Of H 2 By Electron Impact|
|Abstract:||The distorted-wave approximation combined with the Born-Oppenheimer approximation is applied for the first time to calculate the rovibrationally resolved final-state-specific integral cross sections for the X 1 Σ g + ( 0 = 0,N 0) → c 3 Π u - (' = 0,1,2,3,N'= 2) transitions of H 2. The comparison with the available recent LIF experimental data in the 12-22 eV range is very encouraging. In addition, the calculated relative intensities for these final vibrational levels are essentially proportional to the Franck-Condon factors for incident energies above 18 eV. © 1993 1OP Publishing Lld.|
