Title: Wave Propagation In Multilayer Dielectric Periodic Structures

Abstract: The propagation characteristics in multilayered dielectric periodic structures is analyzed in this paper. The analysis extends a previous one by introducing an additional dielectric layer. It is applied to propagation modes along the longitudinal and transverse directions of the structure's periodicity. The use of Floquet's theorem reduces the analysis to a single cell of the propagation fields for both. TE and TM polarizations. Special attention is given to the effect of varying the thickness of the dielectric layers.
