Title: Tinplate Anodic Stripping Voltammetry

Abstract: Anodic stripping voltammetry is applied to commercial tinplate samples at several sweep rates. The results are analyzed based on Brainina's theory of pure metal layer dissolution. It is concluded that there is no preferential dissolution of the alloy elements during anodic stripping voltammetry. The FeSn2 alloy layer dissolves as a pure metal. The anodic voltammetry can be used as a characterization technique for commercial tinplate. © 1991.
