Title: Phase Coexistence And Coercivity In The Fend And Fepr Systems

Abstract: Results of measurements on thermal magnetic analyses, coercivity measurements, metallography and differential thermal analyses are presented and correlated for the Fe-Nd and Fe-Pr systems. Similarities and differences are discussed for both systems. Results for short and long heat treatments at 600°C are also discussed. A new stable phase in the FePr system is observed, and it is confirmed that a phase with the Fe17Pr5 stoichiometry is not stable at 600°C in the FePr system. © 1990.
