Title: Elasticity And The Nucleon Energy Spectrum In The Atmosphere

Abstract: The nucleon intensity in the atmosphere is calculated with a In2(E) energy dependence of the inelastic nucleon-air cross-section and an arbitrary elasticity distribution. A good agreement with the measured nucleon intensities at sea-level is obtained with an average elasticity around 0.33. © 1989 Società Italiana di Fisica.
