|Title:||Disorder-order Structural Transition In Highly Excited Semiconductor Plasma|
|Abstract:||It is shown that a symmetry-breaking dissipative structure, consisting of a self-organized carrier superlattice, may appear in an otherwise homogeneous steady nonequilibrium semiconductor plasma with inverted electron populations. This macroscopic ordered structure occurs beyond a critical deviation from equilibrium, and can be maintained while the open carrier system remains in a dissipative regime governed by non-linear kinetic laws. © 1984 The American Physical Society.|
