Title: Flow In Rectangular Cavity Of Porous Walls With Variable Mass Injection

Abstract: The flow problem in cavities of rectangular cross-section with wall mass injection and suction is essential to understand the behaviour of flat heat pipes. In this paper, the results are presented of analytical and numerical study on the flow in cavities of rectangular cross-section with arbitrary mass injection from the bottom wall and uniform suction at the top wall. Four injection profiles were tried, namely, uniform, step, triangular and parabolic distributions. The formulation of the problem was based upon the two-dimensional mass and momentum conservation equations together with the appropriate boundary conditions.
