Title: On The Robustness Of Optimal Regulators For Nonlinear Discrete-time Systems.

Abstract: The robustness analysis of nonlinear discrete-time systems is presented. The nominal plant is supposed to be controlled by means of an optimal feedback nonlinear law which is determined directly from the solution of the dynamic programming equation (DPE). Under some mild assumptions the solution of the DPE turns out to be positive-definite and is used as a Lyapunov function associated with the closed-loop system, which is subjected to gain perturbations in the control law. The convexity of the DPE solution and the use of the Taylor formula are used to establish the robustness properties.
