Title: Electronic Structure Of Pd3fe: Ordered Phase

Abstract: The electronic structure of Pd3Fe is studied using the self-consistent linear-muffin-tin orbital method. We consider first the paramagnetic phase of Pd3Fe, discussing its instability with respect to the formation of the ferromagnetic state, and proceed to calculate its ferromagnetic phase. Results concerning the magnetization and the linear coefficient of the specific heat compare well with available experiments in the spin-polarized case. Together with bands along symmetry directions and densities of states we also offer a discussion of the Fermi surface of ferromagnetic Pd3Fe. © 1987 The American Physical Society.
