Title: Heat Transfer Coefficients In Flowing Gas-solid Suspensions

Abstract: This paper presents experimental results for the heat transfer coefficient in upward pneumatic transport of solids in an approximately isothermal vertical pipe, 72 mm diameter and 6 m high, in which the particulate is made up of glass beads and the gas is produced by burning a mixture of propane and butane, attaining at this stage temperatures up to 250°C. The glass beads have uniform diameters. Results have been obtained for superficial gas velocities from 6 to 13 m/s, along the height of the pipe, which was divided into six regions, and are presented mostly for dense pneumatic transport.
