Pneumo plethysmography and the pulse wave contour were studied in the lower limbs before lumbar puncture, and 15, 30 and 45 minutes after the injection of the anesthetic: There was a 125% increase in blood flow and 78% in the pulse wave of the extremity, maximum values occurring in 30 minutes.
