|Title:||Three New Species Of Octomeria (orchidaceae: Pleurothallidinae) From Northern South America|
de Barros F.
|Abstract:||Summary: Three new species of Octomeria (Orchidaceae: Pleurothallidinae) from northern South America are proposed: O. platytylis from Bolivar State in Venezuelan montane forests, O. subcallosa from Ecuador and Suriname and O. tellina from La Paz State in Bolivian yungas forests. The species differ by a combination of vegetative and floral characters, among which are the shape of the leaves and, particularly the morphology of the lip. © 2012 The Board of Trustees of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.|
