Title: Dye Ring Laser Narrowing And Tuning Using The Optical Activity Dispersion Of Crystal Quartz

Abstract: A tunable flashlamp pumped, dye ring laser with rotatory pre-dispersor is described. Using the crystal device only, a bandwidth of 0.5 nm is obtained which reduces to less than 0.05 nm if a Fabry-Perot etalon is also included. The polarizer and output mirror characteristics providing the narrowest laser line are discussed. © 1975.
