|Abstract:||The paper presents a skew-exponential scheme for the convective-form two-dimensional convective and diffusive transport equations. The scheme has no limitations as to the presence of source and transient terms in the equation and shows a wide stability range. The scheme is tested on several cases sweeping the Fourier spectrum of solutions of the constant-coefficients transport equations, where it is compared with central differencing, exponential scheme and quadratic upstream. It presents excellent accuracy in the cases of strong cross-flow diffusion where the so-called numerical diffusion typically occurs, and also good accuracy elsewhere.|
