Title: Experimental Evidence Of Anisotropy In The E0 And E1 Optical Spectra Of Corrugated Gaas/alas Quantum-wire Superlattices

Abstract: Polarized photomodulated reflectivity experiments were performed on a series of GaAs/AlAs quantum-wire superlattices. The spectra show clear evidence of anisotropy in the E0-related optical transitions, becoming more pronounced as the superlattices period decreases. A similar anisotropic behavior is also present in the E1 and E1+1 critical-point transitions. These anisotropies are attributed to the corrugated nature of the samples. © 1995 The American Physical Society.
