Title: State-to-state Cross Sections And Anisotropy Parameters For The Excitation Of The C 3Π-u(υ = 0, 1, 2, 3; N = 2) States Of H2 By Electron Impact

Abstract: The distorted-wave approximation combined with the Born-Oppenheimer approximation is applied to calculate rovibrationally resolved state-to-state differential and final-state-specific integral cross sections associated with the X 1Σ+g(υ0 = 0, N0) → c 3Π-u(υ1 = 0, 1, 2, 3, N1 = 2) transitions of H2, as well as the anisotropy parameters for the excited state. The comparison of our final-state-specific cross sections with the available recent laser-induced fluorescence experimental data in the 12-22 eV range is very encouraging.
