|Title:||Ocean Waves: Simulation And Spectral Analysis|
|Abstract:||Numerical simulations of the sea surface elevations are carried out through wave superposition and fast Fourier transform, producing records of irregular waves. The signals are analyzed applying the method of the Periodogram and the Maximum Entropy Method. Results of the simulations are presented for the Deterministic and for the Non-Deterministic methods. The fast Fourier transform has shown to be computationally efficient for the sea simulations. On the spectral analyses, the method of the Periodogram has produced good results for long records, while the Maximum Entropy was applied for short records.|
