|Abstract:||This paper is concerned with the problem of robust traffic regulation of metro lines, considering explicitly the traffic model uncertainties and limits on its variables. It is assumed that limits on model variables are defined by symmetrical convex closed polyhedra and that uncertain parameters domain is defined by the extreme points of a convex compact polyhedron. Two approaches are proposed for solution of the regulation problem: Robust Constrained Regulation giving a linear time-invariant control law and Constrained Minimax Optimal Regulation giving a nonlinear control law computed in real-time. In both cases, exploring structural properties of traffic model, it is showed that the control law has a state feedback form with bi-diagonal structure, being easily obtained solving small linear programming problems. The results are applicable to nowadays metro lines.|
