|Abstract:||The CDMA2000 1×EV-DO is a third generation cellular solution to the ever-growing demand for high-speed wireless Internet access. The 1×EV-DO system is an evolution of the CDMA2000 family of standards developed specifically for packet data communication and to provide a highly efficient air interface for packet data applications such as wireless internet for static and mobile users. 1×EV-DO utilizes advanced coding techniques in a spectrally efficient cdma2000 framework to provide a peak data rate of 2.4 Mbps and an average throughput of 1.5 Mbps per sector, over a signal bandwidth of 1.23 MHz , with dual antenna terminals, under ITU Pedestrian-A model with slow fading. Computer simulations have been widely adopted to analyze the behavior of cellular systems allowing their design, deployment and optimization. The aim of the simulation proposed in this work is to analyze 1×EV-DO network performance under an end-to-end communication scenario based on the OPNET Modeler™ simulation tool.|
