|Abstract:||Flow injection analysis (FIA) coupled to fluorescence detection was employed for the determination of oxytetracycline (OTC), doxycicline (DC) and tetracycline (TC) in veterinarian drugs. The FIA system was optimized in relation to the carrier solvent (NaOH 2.5 10-3 mol L-1) and pump flow (0.5 mL min-1). The detector excitement and emission wavelengths were set at 420 nm and 530 nm, respectively. The method was validated by the evaluation of the following parameters: linear range (0.02 - 0.15 mg mL-1), linearity: r(OTC) 0.9975; r(DC) 0.9903; and r(TC) 0.9913; intra- and inter-assay accuracy (RSD <1.0% and <3.0%, respectively), detectability (120 ng), recovery (98 to 104%) and sampling frequency (50 injections h-1). It was verified a variation from 90 to 104% of the active ingredient related to the nominal amount informed in the bull of veterinarian drugs available in the market.|
