Title: Evaluation Of Mohs Microcirurgical Technique In Eyelid Tumors [avaliação Da Técnica Microcirúrgica De "mohs" Em Tumores Palpebrais]

Abstract: Objective: Demonstrate the final results of palpebral tumor cases treated by Mohs microcirurgical thecnique combined with radiofrequency bistoury, comparing with the worldwide literature. Methods: A prospective study of 54 patients with basocell carcinoma, spincell carcinoma, or other types of tumor, primary or recur. The research was developed in an ophthalmology clinic in Curitiba - PR. All the patients were submitted to tumor resection by Mohs Microcirurgical fresh tissue thecnique combined with radiofrequency bistoury. We admit the fisher test and the binominal test for estatistic study. Results: Fifty patients got the cure, that correspond 92,6% of the cases; the tumor recurs in 4 patients that correspond 7,4% of the cases. Also, the results were compared by tumor size and type. Conclusion: The results confirm the value of the technique, and demonstrate a better level of cure that we found in the mundial bibliography, for the treatment of palpebral tumors.
