Title: The Electric Field Outside And Inside A Resistive Spherical Shell Carrying A Steady Azimuthal Current

Abstract: The potential, electric field and surface charges outside and inside a resistive spherical shell carrying a steady azimuthal current were calculated. The medium inside and outside the spherical shell was supposed to be air or vacuum. A time-independent electric field different from zero in both regions was obtained. The surface charge density was obtained by the standard procedure of taking the radial components of the external and internal electric fields.
