Abstract: The article reports the work developed by the State of Sao Paulo Secretariat of Education to solve the problem of the inefficient performance of students from public state school system. The article also presents the targets to be achieved till 2010, the actions and projects developed on the curriculum materialization, the improvement of the evaluation system, the recovery of learning projects, supporting schools and Local Offices (Diretorias de Ensino) teams and continued learning of school teams showing a link between them.
