|Abstract:||This article presents a general panorama of the evaluation systems of the basic education in Brazil. It highlights the institutionalization process of the evaluation systems, fifteen years after the implementation of consistent politics, which have been increasingly improved and, has been keeping the continuity as public politics. It examines SAEB's implementation process, that has been restructured since 1995, and its developments with the implementation of Prova Brazil and IDEB. It also highlights ENEM's role, which started in 1998, and shows the challenges of its recent reformulation in the debate over the Innovative Elementary Education framework. Finally, it describes the reorganization process of the State System of Educational Efficiency Evaluation of São Paulo and its strategic role in the new educational agenda of the state of São Paulo, giving emphases to the creation of São Pauolo's Development of Education Index and to the deserving bonus politics as a reward for the good work of the schools teams.|
