|Title:||Analysis Of The Industrialization In Mato Grosso Do Sul In Comparison With The Brazilian Industrialization [análise Da Industrialização Sul-mato-grossense Em Face Da Industrialização Brasileira]|
|Abstract:||The industrialization process in Brazil began with the Vargas administration in the thirties and went on growing for a long period. Meanwhile, the Central West region went through a developing process which can be linked to the expansion of farming and agriculture. The process of industrialization in the Central West region, specifically in Mato Grosso do Sul, had a late beginning because this region first supported the industrialization of the food production field in South Brazil. This article presents a theoretical survey of the Brazilian industrialization and an analysis of this process in the Central West region, prioritizing Mato Grosso do Sul, its main activities and its industrial growth in the last years. The industrial growth in these regions was evaluated through secondary data based on location quotient, geometric growth rate and regression analysis. The results indicate that the industrialization in the Central West region and in Mato Grosso do Sul is concentrated in sectors of low technology closely related to the industries of food and drink, nonmetal minerals and civil construction.|
