|Abstract:||The thermal immobilization of poly(methyloctadecylsiloxane) and poly(dimethylsiloxane) onto silica was optimized by experimental design and response surface methodology and produced stationary phases that showed good values of efficiency (up to 60 000 plates/m) and appropriate asymmetry factors. The procedure was optimized as functions of efficiency and asymmetry factor of the neutral compound naphthalene by the realization of 11 experiments including a triplicate central point. The model was statistically evaluated using analysis of variance.|
