Title: Robust Discrete Linear Quadratic Control Applied To Grid-connected Converters With Lcl Filters

Abstract: This paper proposes the design of robust discrete linear quadratic controllers applied to PWM inverters connected to the grid with uncertain inductance by means of LCL filters. The controller is designed using linear matrix inequality conditions associated to the H2 state feedback control, with a proper choice for the matrices of the system model. The proposed robust discrete linear quadratic control can provide stable performance for an entire range of grid inductances, while a conventional discrete linear quadratic controller, designed only for the nominal plant, exhibits unstable behavior for values of grid inductance different from the nominal. © 2013 IEEE.
