|Title:||Assessment Of The Structural Conditions Of The Bridge "fazenda Modelo"|
|Abstract:||This paper describes the studies performed for the Bridge "Fazenda Modelo". The bridge was built in 1911 and is the second reinforced concrete bridge built in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. The structure of the bridge consists of five arches across the 15.0m span, each one with a height of 1.75m and spaced from each other by 1.1 m. It was developed a study of this structure's pathology, which is part of the history of Brazilian engineering. In years, the structure supported loads that are higher than those it was designed for, becoming a clear example of concrete's longevity and strength. In order to perform a better analysis of the bridge's structural behavior, a model was created using the software Ansys. The results explain the structure longevity. © 2014 Taylor & Francis Group.|
