Abstract: Due to the globalization, regional integration among the states gained strength. At the same time, new international actors - such as subnational governments - have gained greater relevance either. Beyond economic integration, other areas are also targets of policies built on cooperation, such as education, transport and health. In Brazil, this phenomenon has been more intense in border regions, given the vast number of countries with which Brazil has frontiers. Therefore, the work aims to map the integration initiatives that have occurred over recent years in Brazil-Venezuela border relating to healthcare. It is intended to demonstrate the growth of cross-border cooperation, indicating the main achievements obtained and the remaining obstacles.
