Programa de aceleração do crescimento (PAC) : análise aplicada em uma perspectiva keynesiana

Abstract

This paper aims to present a comparative analysis of public investments in transport infrastructure of the Growth Acceleration Program (in Portuguese, PAC), which promises a return to planning and execution of major projects in order to contribute to economic development. The domestic logistics infrastructure implies loss of competitiveness due to the high Brazil Cost (in Portuguese, Custo Brasil) - a number of structural, bureaucratic and economic difficulties which increase investments in the country. Was sought to an assessment of investments according to the Keynesian view of the multiplier effect. An important contribution of this research was to identify elements that point to the existence of a multiplicity of relationship between public investment in transport infrastructure and economic development, that is, public investment in different modes of transport reflected in an increase in aggregate demand and propensities to consume and invest.
