|Abstract:||Let X be a locally compact Hausdorff space and let C-b(X; R) be the space of all continuous and bounded real-valued functions on X, equipped with the strict topology beta. We study the problem of characterizing the beta-closure of convex (resp. convex conic) semi-lattices in C-b(X; R). As an application we extend the results of McAfee and Reny on semi-lattices generated by linear subspaces from the case X compact and the uniform topology to the case of X locally compact and the strict topology.|
