|Title:||Anthropophagy and the problem of alterity in Portuguese America during the 16th century|
|Abstract:||Our aim in this article is to approach the topic of American Indian anthropophagy as it comes about in Portuguese domains in the XVIth century, having the problems of alterity as a central concern. We attempt to show that its formulation produces effects that highlight the relationships between various normative projects with its margins or portions of reality which they do not apprehend.|
