|Title:||A one dimensional heat equation with mixed boundary conditions|
|Abstract:||We study a nonlinear one dimensional heat equation with nonmonotone perturbation and with mixed boundary conditions that can even be discontinuous. We show that we can balance these two main difficulties in order to obtain existence of globally defined strong solutions for this class of problems. The main tools used are the Theory of Monotone Operators and the Galerkin Method. (C) 1997 Academic Press.|
