Title: State-to-state cross sections and anisotropy parameters for the excitation of the c (3)Pi(u)(-) (v=0, 1, 2, 3; N=2) states of H-2 by electron impact

Abstract: The distorted-wave approximation combined with the Born-Oppenheimer approximation is applied to calculate rovibrationally reserved state-to-state differential and final-state-specific integral cross sections associated with the X (1) Sigma(g)(+)(upsilon(0) = 0, N-0) --> c (3) Pi(u)(-)(upsilon(1) = 0, 1,2, 3, N-1 = 2) transitions of H-2, as well as the anisotropy parameters for the excited state. The comparison of our final-state-specific cross sections with the available recent laser-induced fluorescence experimental data in the 12-22 eV range is very encouraging.
