|Title:||Utilization of Voronoi diagrams for circularity algorithms|
|Abstract:||In the past many minimum zone center (MZC) algorithms have been developed. In opposition, many coordinate measuring machines (CMM) still use least-squares center (LSC) algorithms. A MZC algorithm that uses a computational geometry approach through the Voronoi diagrams to determine circularity can be compared with LSC. Both algorithms are compared by scanning the number of points of the set, the circularity value interval, and the workpiece radius. The differences between the results are compared to determine the relationship. The importance of the uncertainty of the machine is then compared with these differences.
