Title: Failure of a proposed superluminal scheme

Abstract: We consider a "superluminal quantum Morse telegraph", recently proposed by Garuccio, involving a polarization-correlated photon pair and a Michelson interferometer in which one of the mirrors is replaced by a phase-conjugating mirror (PCM). Superluminal information transfer in this scheme is precluded by the impossibility of distinguishing between unpolarized photons prepared by mixing linear polarization states or by mixing circular polarization states.
