Title: DYNAMIC GAIN EQUALIZATION FOR ERBIUM DOPED FIBER AMPLIFIERS BASED ON OPTOCERAMIC SINUSOIDAL FILTER CASCADE

Abstract: This article presents an experimental demonstration and a systemic analysis of a dynamic gain equalizer for erbium doped fiber amplifier based on a cascade of sinusoidal optoceramic filters controlled by voltage with temperature control. A power imbalance reduction up to 86% is experimentally demonstrated and, based on simulations, optimal device allocation is analyzed. (c) 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
