Title: Controlling chaos in a nonlinear fiber ring resonator using fuzzy logic

Abstract: An algorithm, based on fuzzy logic, for controlling chaos in a nonlinear fiber ring resonator is presented. The main advantage of using fuzzy logic is the avoidance of knowing the nonlinear differential equation that models the resonator. The algorithm is described, simulations are performed, and the results are discussed. (C) 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
