|Abstract:||This article focuses on the possibilities of connection between autobiographical writing and history of mathematics education. The paper discusses conceptions of autobiographical writing and presents a panorama of their historical development. It also presents a typology of autobiographical texts and examines theoretical and methodological issues concerning historical research which uses those texts as sources or subjects of investigation.|
